The cool but relatively unfoggy night left little condensation on the grass. All the better for the 534 corral-parked display cars and 167 judged vehicles to easily reach their spots. As usual, Werks Reunion Monterey brought a ton of Porsche vehicles as well as an equal amount of car enthusiasts: at least 4,500 Porsche enthusiasts joined in on the fun at the annual PCA event at California's Monterey Pines Golf Club.
A great selection of Porsches from all eras was spread across several fairways. From classics to modern models. What stood out, was the wide variety of paint colors and interior combinations all gathered in one spot: A Lime Green 1974 Carrera RS was parked near a Moss Green 912E with factory steel wheels. A Maritime Blue 964 Speedster? Check. A Linden Green 2023 Sport Classic? Yep.
Brock Keen stayed the night in his 996 Carrera 4S tent contraption. The center stage was also surrounded by impressive Porsche machinery, from the 964 RS 3.8 movie car for the character Mirage, a John Deere Green 356 Convertible D with nearly a million miles, Shark Blue 911 Dakar, GT3 RS…
The PCA Werks Reunion is not a contest of who has removed dust from the deepest crevices in their Porsche but rather a judged show that rewards a Porsche that has been lovingly maintained and presents itself well on the field; a casual gathering of Porsche enthusiasts focused on having fun rather than solely competition.
In the Monterey Werk Reunion video, you can join Vu Nguyen, PCAs Executive Director and Manny Alban, Technical Director of the Porsche Club of America, on a tour of the event.
